Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne
Founded in 1961 by Michel Corboz, the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne (EVL) is one of Switzerland's leading professional choral ensembles, acclaimed for the precision of its interpretation and the breadth of its repertoire.
The evening unfolds in two parts: at the Auditorium, the EVL performs Earthrise by Alec Roth, a powerful work dedicated to our planet, presented in Switzerland for the first time, alongside the monumental Spem in Alium by Thomas Tallis, and pieces by Ola Gjeilo, Ēriks Ešenvalds and Frank Ticheli. The evening then continues in a more intimate setting at the Montreux Jazz Club Millennium, where EVL singers revisit the great classics of jazz and musical theatre.
